Teaser of my next book

Hey there, book lovers!

I'm thrilled to announce that over the next few months, my blog will be buzzing with exclusive teasers for my upcoming book, "RED, Sophie Carter and the Lost Queen." This exciting new release follows the incredible journey of a girl and her best friend as they fight to locate her missing mom.

Introducing the Characters

In these teasers, you'll get a sneak peek into the lives of the characters before the main story begins. I’ll be sharing their desires, challenges, and backgrounds, as well as the reasons they live where they do. To kick things off, let's dive into the story of how Maddie became the best friend of Sophie Carter.

Madison Hamilton: The Best Friend

From East End to the Deep South

Madison Hamilton, or Maddie as she's known to her friends and family, grew up in the east end of London, specifically Bethnal Green. As a true cockney, Maddie embodied the spirit and resilience of the area. Traditionally, a cockney is someone born within the sound of Bow Bells, but the term has come to include all of the east end of London and neighboring areas.

Maddie's upbringing in this vibrant community meant she picked up the local mannerisms and slang, giving her an unmistakable accent and a strong, determined character. Life in the east end was tough, but it taught Maddie to stand her ground and use her cleverness to navigate challenges.

The Fiery Redhead

With striking red hair, Maddie often found herself the target of bullies. However, she quickly showed them that messing with her was a mistake. Her bold personality matched her vibrant hair, and her eclectic fashion sense often clashed with her fair skin and fiery locks. Pinks and reds dominated her wardrobe, creating a colorful contrast that mirrored her rugged spirit.

Maddie loved the outdoors, frequently going on solo camping trips in the woods. Her strong legs were a testament to her adventurous lifestyle, though her mom's constant worry sometimes kept her from exploring as much as she'd like.

A New Beginning in Mississippi

When Maddie was 14, her parents made the life-changing decision to move to Laurel, Mississippi. Her dad, who worked in oil and gas, received an offer he couldn't refuse. Despite his desire to work in Texas, the first opportunity came from a small business in Jackson, Mississippi.

Upon arriving in Mississippi, Maddie stood out as the 'foreigner.' Attending Laurel High School, she was immediately identified as an immigrant by the local school bully. Her strong character and determination, however, would soon change how she was perceived, paving the way for a new chapter in her life.

Stay Tuned for More!

That's just a glimpse into Maddie's world before she met Sophie Carter. Stay tuned for more character prequels, and get ready for the full adventure in "RED, Sophie Carter and the Lost Queen," coming later this year.

Don't miss out on the upcoming teasers – each one will bring you closer to the heart of the story and its unforgettable characters.

Happy reading, and see you soon!
