Snow, Seagulls, and Seasonal Shenanigans: My New Children’s Book

This week, I did something absolutely wild. No, I didn't ’knit a scarf for my neighbour’s cat again (that ended terribly last time). I released my brand-new children’s book! It’s for kids aged 3 to 7—aka the crowd who know exactly what they want for breakfast but will never, ever eat it.

The story? Suzi Poop is a seagull. Not just any seagull, this one is cold, lonely, and staring at the kind of deep snow that makes you wish for heated socks. She’s facing the ultimate festive nightmare: Christmas alone. No twinkling lights, no carols, no awkwardly shaped presents to unwrap. Just snow.

But don’t worry, this isn’t a tragic story about a bird trying to invent central heating. Our feathered friend is on a mission. She decides that if she can’t fix the weather, she’ll fix her circumstances. The answer? Friends! Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like finding a warm circle of companions who won’t judge you for stealing chips (it’s a seagull thing).

It’s a tale of resilience, kindness, and the timeless truth that no one should face Christmas alone—not even a snow-covered seagull. Plus, it’s got enough charm to make adults smile and enough heart to keep the little ones hooked (and maybe even quiet for five minutes. You’re welcome).

So, grab your cocoa, snuggle up, and let this brave little seagull teach your kiddos about warmth, friendship, and the magic of Christmas. Who knows? It might just inspire you to invite that quirky neighbour over for mulled wine.

(But maybe skip the cat scarf idea.)

Get your copy today and let’s make Christmas a little brighter, Suzi Poop Cozy Christmas!
